Tentsile Experience Camp GoPark Akaa - safety instructions
Weather conditions
In sudden storms with lightning, thunder, strong winds and rip currents. Move from your accommodation tent to the island's cooking shelter for shelter. The tallest trees on the island may be struck by lightning, branches may fall from trees or even trees may fall. When the storm is over, you can return to your Tentsile.
Making a fire
At Tentsile Ecocamp, open fires are only allowed in the fire pit. The use of wood stoves is prohibited in the ecocamp. The use of gas stoves in connection with Tentsile is okay, as long as you ensure sufficient safety distances from Tentsile and ensure that the stove does not fall over and ignite the forest floor. Lighting mosquito coils or candles/outdoor fires in connection with Tentsile is prohibited. These can easily ignite the dry forest floor.
Using Tencil
- Our service will check the Tentsile and adjust it if necessary. Therefore, do not touch the Tentsile attachments yourself unless you are an experienced Tentsile Ecocamp builder.
- Don't bounce in Tentsile, it puts strain on the structures.
- Fire and Tentsile do not mix, so do not light anything in or near Tentsile under any circumstances.
Hygiene
We maintain and clean the structures in common use regularly. If you have used the common spaces such as the toilet, lean-to, cooking shelter in emergencies, clean them after you use them. The Tentsile equipment includes a weed rake and cleaning agent with cloths, with which each user can clean the base of the Tentsile independently.
